Hey Fabulous Foodies

Have you seen all the fresh vibrant produce that’s available everywhere at the moment? This time of year is amazing for plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and, guess what? Thermomix allows you to take full advantage of the abundance of colour and taste, and that’s the inspiration for this month’s email bulletin. Scroll down for tips on making the most of the food you buy, and recipes that use the freshest, seasonal produce.

Whether it’s a TM6 you’ve got or even a TM5, or you’re about to start your Thermomix journey with the brand new TM7, all the same tips and tricks apply. And if you have the additional accessories, like the Cutter or Sensor, there’s even more you can do!

Reduce Food Waste

Regular readers of this email will know that I’m often telling you that you can use your Thermomix machines to save money (there’s so much more they do, but I’ll save that for another time 😉). Whether it’s whipping up a fakeaway instead of buying a takeout, or cooking from scratch instead of buying pricey packaged foods – it’s so versatile. Let’s look at how you can reduce food waste with your Thermie, and save money on wasted food – perfect for making the most of the delights of spring.

✅ Batch Cooking for the Freezer
Cook once, eat often! Use your Thermomix to batch-cook soups, sauces or bakes, then portion and freeze. This cuts down on last-minute cooking, saves energy, and ensures no leftovers go to waste. Shredded Lamb Ragu works well for batch cooking.

✅ Leftover Herbs? Make Herb Butter
Left with half a bunch of parsley or chives? Blitz with butter and a little lemon zest in the Thermomix, then shape into a log and freeze. Slice off a round to melt over veggies, fish or steak – delicious and waste-free. If you like to follow a recipe, give the Garlic and Herb Butter a go.

✅ Freeze Herbs in Oil or Water
Chop up your fresh herbs and pop them into ice cube trays with olive oil or water. Freeze, and you’ll have perfectly portioned flavour boosts ready to toss into soups, stews, and sauces.

✅ Turn Fresh Produce Into Dips & Spreads
Got leftover peas, carrots or roasted veg? Blend them into a dip or spread using your TM6 or TM7. Add herbs, garlic, or soft cheese for extra flavour – great for lunches or snacking.

✅ Grate & Store Veg for Quick Meals
Use the Thermomix Cutter to shred carrots, cabbage or root veg in seconds. Store in the fridge in an airtight container – perfect for salads, stir-fries, or adding into frittatas through the week.

OK! Let me give you a snapshot of another of Thermomix’s specialities! There are so many things that you can cook from scratch instead of buying in the supermarket, and whenever you make any of these items you will know exactly what’s going into the dish, and you will be using less ingredients compared to the shop-bought versions. A kind of Thermomix Superpower!

I can’t forget that it’s nearly Easter, so there’s even more inspiration that I’m drawing on for this month’s recipes.

Hot Cross Buns – the shops have been stocked for weeks, but we all know that homemade is way more special. You can opt for a classic Hot Cross Bun or you can mix it up and try Apple and Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns, a Hot Cross Bun Loaf or even savoury Cheese and Jalepeno Hot Cross Buns.

Bank holidays go hand in hand with relaxation, and what could be more relaxing than a leisurely brunch of Smoked Salmon and Brie Quiche? For a sweet treat you can’t resist with a cuppa 🍵there’s always Carrot Cake. Or whizz up a batch of Chocolate Easter Nests, you could even use leftover Easter eggs. This is one that the kids can join in with, and you can mix things up by using Cornflakes or Rice Crispies instead.

I’d love for you to share your cooking successes in our Facebook Community. Share your failures too, it’s a safe space, and there a lots of other owners in the group who can help you troubleshoot.
