Summer’s here, at least I think it is. Last week was super hot, but we’ve had rain too. I’m hoping it will soon be hot again and that means it’s time for ice-cold drinks, refreshing salads and all the frozen treats. Whether you’re escaping the heat or just enjoying longer days, Thermomix is your perfect sous-chef for chilled dishes.
Thermomix TM7 – The Cool Upgrade
Whether you’re thinking about upgrading or already getting to know your TM7, here’s how it’s especially helpful in warmer weather:
✅ Weigh While You Cook – Add ingredients on the fly without stopping the machine – ideal for smoothies, sorbets, chilled soups or layering sauces.
✅ New Cookidoo Interface – It’s sleeker, faster, and easier to browse, so you can switch recipes mid-blend or explore what’s next with ease.
✅ Precise Temperature Control – Great for gently melting chocolate, making lemon curd, or fermenting yoghurt ready for frozen lollies.
Still using a TM6? You’re sorted too!
The TM6 is a powerhouse in hot weather – here’s how to make the most of it:
✅ Use Pre-Cool Ingredients – Start with chilled fruit, veg or liquids from the fridge. The TM6 handles frozen and cold prep beautifully – perfect for sorbets, iced drinks, and quick salads.
✅ Maximise the Varoma – Steam summer veg or proteins while keeping the kitchen cool. No oven required – think warm-weather meal prep without the heat.
