February started on a real high for me. I was lucky enough to attend a gala celebration at the Natural History Museum, recognising the very best Thermomix Advisors in the UK — and I’m still slightly pinching myself to say that I was named one of the top 25 Advisors in the country, placing me in the top 1% nationwide.

It was an unforgettable evening in a truly iconic setting, celebrating incredible food, community and passion for home cooking. I’m so grateful to everyone who’s cooked, baked, asked questions, hosted demos or supported me along the way — this recognition genuinely wouldn’t have happened without you.

Bread Made Simple

Making your own bread can sound like hard work.
All that kneading, proving, timing and technique can make it feel more like a chore than a pleasure — especially if you’ve tried before and it didn’t quite work.

What changes everything is having a machine that walks you through both the recipe and the technique. With Thermomix guiding each step, bread-making becomes far more straightforward, predictable and enjoyable — even if you don’t think of yourself as a “baker”.

1️⃣ Consistent Kneading, Every Time

The Thermomix kneads dough evenly and reliably, taking the guesswork (and arm work!) out of bread-making.
This helps develop gluten properly, giving you better structure and texture without overworking the dough.

2️⃣ Gentle Warmth for Better Rising

During kneading, the Thermomix gently warms the dough — creating an ideal environment for yeast to activate and rise well, especially helpful in colder months.

3️⃣ Simple Ingredients, Real Bread

Homemade bread lets you keep things simple: flour, water, yeast and salt.
No unnecessary additives, just proper bread with flavour and substance.

4️⃣ Fits Around Real Life

Once the dough is made, the rest is hands-off.
Bake when it suits you, freeze spare loaves or rolls, and enjoy real bread throughout the week without constant effort.

5️⃣ From Beginner to Confident Baker

Whether it’s your first loaf or your fiftieth, a Thermomix removes the intimidation factor — making bread something you actually enjoy making.

If you already own a TM6, you’ll know how dependable dough-making can be. The TM7 builds on this with even more precision and control, making great results even more consistent.

🌾 A Quick Note About Flour

One other feature of a Thermomix is that it can mill grains into fresh flour in seconds.

This means you can:

  • turn grains such as wheat, spelt or rice into flour at home
  • control exactly what goes into your baking
  • experiment with flavour and freshness, if and when it suits you

It’s completely optional — you don’t need to make your own flour to bake great bread — but it’s a lovely extra for anyone who enjoys taking things back to basics.

Following on with our bread theme, I’ve been trawling Cookidoo – Thermomix’s recipe platform – for my trusty favourites and a few different breads to try as well.

If you’re looking for a no nonsense loaf  then the Basic Bread recipe is for you; it’s a dependable, no-nonsense loaf — perfect for sandwiches, toast and everyday use. For soft, versatile rolls that freeze well and work for lunches, soups or burgers, try the Basic Bread Rolls.

For something a little bit special, why not try a Foccacia, or even the Pizza Monkey Bread. If you fancy a challenge, then a Sourdough Loaf might be for you.

I can’t feature a bread section without telling you about two of my absolute favourite recipes! Quick Flatbreads are just that – super quick and tasty. With minimal ingredients you can whip them up in no time to save the day. These Naan Breads are lovely – serve them with a curry, or use them for a pizza base and pop any leftovers in the freezer for another time.
